What’s the biggest challenge facing the cannabis industry right now, and how are you and/or your company addressing it?

Frankly, being profitable as a brand in the cannabis industry is challenging right now. How I am addressing it is not being scared to evolve, branch out and try new things. Change can be scary but it’s also necessary at times for growth.

Where do you see the most exciting opportunity for growth and innovation in cannabis?

For me the most exciting opportunity for growth is in cannabis consumption lounges. We have a real opportunity to create and innovate new spaces for people to gather and consume cannabis together. My dream is to curate a lounge in California that feels welcoming to everyone and highlights legacy brands.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone looking to break into the cannabis industry?

My advice would be to choose to work with a brand/company that you really believe in or that you love their products. I think that provides a more meaningful sense of purpose to your work then just clocking in for a paycheck.

What is the most important thing you have learned from your experiences in the cannabis industry?

The most important thing I have learned from my experiences has been how to be resilient in life. How to not let your mistakes or the things that have happened to you impede you from trying again. I have gained so much inspiration from people within the cannabis community on how to live this way. We have been through too much to let any one thing break us.

What do you want your legacy to be as it relates to the cannabis industry?

I want my legacy to be one that makes a positive impact in people’s lives. I think that is what I have loved most about working on cannabis event’s, seeing the happiness they bring about. Creating spaces for people to gather over their love of cannabis has brought such a profound sense of joy to my life. I aspire to always uplift and inspire those around me.
