Ohio permits regulated adult-use cannabis purchases alongside its medical marijuana programme. Ascend Cannabis – Cincinnati serves both eligible recreational customers and medical cannabis patients, subject to applicable state requirements.
Adult-use customers generally must be at least 21 years old and present valid government-issued identification. Medical marijuana patients must meet the requirements of Ohio’s medical programme and provide the necessary credentials when purchasing products through the medical pathway.
The two purchasing categories may differ in their eligibility requirements, product access, purchase limits, and applicable taxes. Customers should confirm which rules apply to their transaction and consult the Ohio Division of Cannabis Control for the latest regulatory information.
Ohio’s cannabis laws also govern possession, transportation, and consumption. Purchasing cannabis legally does not mean it can be consumed in every location. Customers should understand the restrictions that apply to public spaces, workplaces, vehicles, and private property.
Responsible Cannabis Use and Safety
Responsible cannabis use involves understanding product potency, serving sizes, and the differences between product formats. Customers should review labels carefully and exercise caution when trying unfamiliar products.
Edibles and cannabis beverages may take considerably longer to produce noticeable effects than inhaled products, and their effects can last longer. Consuming additional amounts too soon can increase the risk of unwanted effects. Concentrates and some vaporizer products may also contain high cannabinoid concentrations.
Cannabis products should be stored securely away from children and pets. Anyone who has consumed cannabis should avoid driving or operating machinery while impaired.
People who take prescription medications, have underlying health conditions, or are considering cannabis for therapeutic purposes should consult a qualified healthcare professional about potential risks and interactions.
Customers should also follow Ohio’s rules regarding where cannabis may be consumed and transported. Taking cannabis across state lines can create legal complications, even when the product was purchased legally in Ohio.
