In an ongoing mission to collaborate with the strongest voices in advocacy, business, education, and tradition, Beard Bros Media Network announces cannabis correspondent Nigel Despinasse will host a new series of LinkedIn Live and YouTube programming covering the culture and industry with the authenticity and respect that our grassroots news outlet is known for.
Hailing out of the Louisiana state capitol of Baton Rouge, Despinasse has contributed his top shelf writing skills for Beard Bros Media in the past and now looks to bring his multifaceted background with cannabis brand building, marketing, and sales to the table in this hard hitting new video series.
Joining a highly respected cadre of fellow hosts working on this project with Beard Bros Media, Despinasse has plans to bring some of the industry and culture’s most compelling business and thought leaders on as guests to help him tackle today’s hottest topics.
His first guest will be Jessica Reilly, Editor-in-Chief at Fat Nugs Magazine and a deeply skilled writer and content strategist, in what promises to be an enlightening look into what works (and what doesn’t) when it comes to cannabis sales and marketing.
A graduate of Brown University, at 27 years old Despinasse taps into a younger demographic of up and coming cannabis connoisseurs who are already stepping up to help decide where weed goes next. This next generation of herbal entrepreneurs are far more curious about alternative cannabinoids and consumption methods, which also aligns with the trail that Despinasse is blazing with his own personal relationship with the plant.
Don’t get it twisted, though, this dude still loves the ritual surrounding busting up some dank nugs and then rolling a picture perfect joint. In fact, he still sparks a few of those a week. But, as his own understanding of the harmonious relationship between terpenes, cannabinoids, and our own bodies deepens, Despinasse finds himself more intrigued than ever by edibles, beverage enhancers, and vape carts that deliver purpose-blended ratios of alternative cannabinoids like CBG, THCV, and others.
One of his favorite cultivars of late is called GSD, or Get Shit Done. This 1.5:1 THCV:THC flower absolutely lives up to its name by delivering a useful, energetic effect. Diagnosed as a kid with ADHD, while in college Despinasse decided to completely substitute his Adderall prescription for a more intimate relationship with cannabis. Today, years later, the market’s new fascination with alt-cannabinoids like THCV have made available a wide variety of cannabis consumption options that continue to help him optimize his wellness.
This ability to customize one’s cannabis experience is the future, according to Despinasse, a future he refers to as “Cannabis 3.0”.
