What’s the biggest challenge facing the cannabis industry right now, and how are you and/or your company addressing it?
Knowledge gaps. Whether that be science to policy, research to physicians, or education to consumers. We are performing research and providing summaries to physicians and educating policy makers to advocate for equitable access. We are also using this information to provide free support to consumers who are looking for relief from ailments they are suffering with.
Where do you see the most exciting opportunity for growth and innovation in cannabis?
Research continues to be an exciting area of growth and innovation. The more we get to know how individuals are incorporating cannabis into their health regimen through observational research the more we can state the case for clinical trials for specific diseases. We are finding potential solutions for treatment-resistant areas and to know that there is an opportunity to improve the lives of so many people with a natural plant that has little to no side effects is very exciting.
What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone looking to break into the cannabis industry?
Don’t lose touch with the consumer or sight of the end goal – which is to improve health and equitable access.

Collaboration is key! There are several organizations and businesses with their own set of strengths – combining those strengths will get us all to the greater goal of helping more people.
