International Cannabis Business Conference 2025 -Why Germany? Why Now?
There is a wave of cannabis policy modernization sweeping across Europe right now, and with more countries bordering it than any other nation on the continent, Germany seems to be a natural hub for near-future global cannabis commerce.
The country is home to some 84 million citizens and is roughly one year into the implementation of the Cannabisgesetz Act (or CanG Act) which tentatively opened the door for the personal possession and limited cultivation and trade of cannabis. As with every new regulated weed market that crops up here in the U.S., German lawmakers sold the heavily restricted CanG as a means to make the responsible use of cannabis easier, minimize illicit market activity, and improve the “protection” of the kiiiiiiiiiiiiiids.
However, it is not a matter of IF, but rather WHEN true cannabis legalization becomes a reality in Germany and proceeds to benefit society there.
