What’s the biggest challenge facing the cannabis industry right now, and how are you and/or your company addressing it?

The biggest challenge we are facing in the cannabis industry right now is breaking the cycle of “harsh” habits. For a long time, the industry has relied on Isopropyl Alcohol and unknown chemicals because that’s what we knew. People are set in their ways because those methods are “tried and true,” but they come with fumes and health risks that we shouldn’t have to accept anymore.

At Momma Jane’s Cleaners, we are addressing this through education. We’re showing retailers and consumers that we don’t have to choose between “clean” and “safe.” We have created plant based options that work just as hard as the chemicals, but smell like nature. Our mission is to gently show everyone that there is a better, non toxic way to care for their space and their lungs.

Where do you see the most exciting opportunity for growth and innovation in cannabis?

I see the most exciting opportunity for growth in the evolution of cannabis hospitality and the normalization of the cannabis home. We are moving away from the “hidden” culture and into an era of consumption lounges, cannabis cafes, and social gatherings. But you can’t have a high-end lounge or a beautiful home ritual if the tools are sticky, the glass pieces are dirty, or if the air smells like a hospital.

I would say that the innovation isn’t just in the plant itself anymore; it’s in the ritual of care. At MJC, we see a future where “cleaning your piece” isn’t a chore you hide, it becomes a wellness practice you feel good about. By providing a plant based cleaner that smells like a citrus garden and actually works, we are proving that the tools we use to enjoy this plant deserve to be treated with as much respect and natural care as the plant itself.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone looking to break into the cannabis industry?

This community is incredibly kind and welcoming, so take the time to truly enjoy the people, but remember that success here requires a willingness to be a constant educator. You have to be patient enough to teach and persistent enough to push through the “no’s” until you find your “yes’s.”

What is the most important thing you have learned from your experiences in the cannabis industry?

On a surface level, I’ve learned that people will spend thousands of dollars on beautiful, functional glass pieces and then completely forget to take care of them!

On a deeper level, what I’ve truly learned is that how we treat our tools reflects how we treat the plant. A neglected, resin caked piece doesn’t just look bad; it changes the flavor, the hygiene, and the entire experience of the flower. I want to help people honor the craftsmanship of their glass and the purity of their cannabis by giving them a non toxic way to keep their ritual pristine. After all, if you’re going to buy the best, you deserve to taste the best, too.

What do you want your legacy to be as it relates to the cannabis industry?

I want to be remembered as the momma who cared enough to offer a better way. My goal is to change the way people feel and view cleaning, moving it away from a chemical chore and toward a mindful ritual of care. I want to be known as the woman who stood up in a sea of harsh tradition and encouraged the industry to choose plant based options that are gentler on our lungs and our environment.
