Regulation. Not just the laws on the books, but the constant whiplash. One week you’re legal, the next week you’re not. At Mood, we’ve leaned hard into policy. We’re actively lobbying, funding legal fights, and building coalitions. We’re playing defense while also trying to shape the future.

Where do you see the most exciting opportunity for growth and innovation in cannabis?

Product experience. We’ve barely scratched the surface of what’s possible with precise formulations, new blends, and intentional use cases. We’re focused on making products that actually make people feel something and give them a reason to come back.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone looking to break into the cannabis industry?

Move fast, but know your terrain. Cannabis isn’t like other industries. It’s emotional, political, and full of landmines. Talk to operators. Learn from people who’ve been burned. Then jump in with eyes open.

What is the most important thing you have learned from your experiences in the cannabis industry?

You can’t fake trust. Whether it’s customers, regulators, or partners, everything runs on trust. That’s been our north star at Mood.

What do you want your legacy to be as it relates to the cannabis industry?

That we helped normalize it. That we made great products, treated people well, and pushed the industry forward. And that we didn’t play it safe when it counted.
