What’s the biggest challenge facing the cannabis industry right now, and how are you and/or your company addressing it?
The biggest challenge today is the disconnect between how people use and benefit from cannabis and how it’s still treated legally and financially. Access to banking, interstate commerce, and consistent regulations remain barriers to progress. At The Cannigma, we’re focused on education, bridging science, culture, and credible information so that when legalization fully arrives, the industry is ready to operate responsibly and sustainably.
Where do you see the most exciting opportunity for growth and innovation in cannabis?
The most exciting opportunities lie at the intersection of medical research and consumer education. As legalization expands, we’ll see major breakthroughs in understanding how cannabinoids can support health, wellness, and even athletic recovery. On the recreational side, innovation in form factors, beverages, and personalized experiences will make cannabis more approachable and enjoyable for new audiences.
What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone looking to break into the cannabis industry?
Come in with curiosity and humility. The story of this industry is still being written scientifically, culturally, and economically. Those who succeed will be the ones who listen, learn, and help shape responsible growth while keeping people, not just profits, at the center of their work.
What is the most important thing you have learned from your experiences in the cannabis industry?
Patience and persistence are essential. Cannabis moves at the pace of regulation, not enthusiasm. But the energy and creativity in this space are unmatched, and that reminds me daily that the long-term rewards social, medical, and cultural will be worth the wait.
What do you want your legacy to be as it relates to the cannabis industry?
Well it is not about me, we at The Cannigma hope to help make cannabis understood, accessible, and respected to shift the conversation from stigma to science, from hype to health. If The Cannigma plays even a small part in helping people learn, heal, and connect through cannabis, that’s a legacy I’d be proud of.
