Question 1

What’s the biggest challenge facing the cannabis industry right now, and how are you and/or your company addressing it?

Right now, one of the biggest challenges in the cannabis industry is keeping the medical market alive and thriving as more states move to recreational use. Don’t get me wrong, adult-use legalization is exciting and opens the door for broader access, but it can also create a false perception that the medical system is no longer needed. The truth is, medical cannabis programs are critical. They provide patients with lower costs, higher potency options, tailored medical guidance, and legal protections that recreational systems simply don’t offer.

At CMed, we’re tackling this head-on through patient education, advocacy, and partnerships that highlight the value of keeping a medical card. We’re making sure both patients and policymakers understand that medical cannabis isn’t just a stepping stone to legalization, it’s a vital healthcare pathway that improves lives every single day. Our mission is to ensure that as the industry evolves, we don’t lose sight of the patients who depend on this program to affordably, safely, and effectively manage their health.

Question 2

Where do you see the most exciting opportunity for growth and innovation in cannabis?

One of the most exciting opportunities for growth and innovation in cannabis is in the way we integrate medical cannabis into broader healthcare and wellness models. We’re just scratching the surface of what’s possible when cannabis is recognized not just as a retail product, but as a legitimate, research backed therapeutic tool.

There’s huge potential in expanding patient access through telemedicine, streamlining state programs, and using technology to connect patients with the right products, dosing guidance, and ongoing care. We’re also seeing innovation in formulations, delivery methods, and data driven personalization, things that will make cannabis treatment even more effective and accessible.

At CMed, we’re leaning into this by building education first initiatives and forming partnerships that bridge the gap between traditional healthcare and cannabis. That’s where the future is, making sure patients get the benefits of innovation while preserving the protections and affordability of the medical system.

Question 3

What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone looking to break into the cannabis industry?

The cannabis industry will keep you on your toes—it’s fast moving, constantly evolving, and always exciting. But it’s not all glam. It takes late nights, early mornings, and the drive to keep pushing forward through every setback. If you’re here just for a job, you’ll burn out fast.

This is a community of passionate people who see more than just a business opportunity. We see change. We see the chance to make a real difference in people’s lives and to challenge the way we view traditional medicine. If that mission excites you, and you’re ready to roll up your sleeves, you’ll find this industry incredibly rewarding.

Question 4

What is the most important thing you have learned from your experiences in the cannabis industry?

The biggest thing I’ve learned in the cannabis industry is that change and growth only come with hard work, dedication, and the guts to keep pushing forward—even when the setbacks feel impossible. Nothing happens overnight. But with persistence, grit, and a community of like-minded people who share your passion, you can absolutely make things happen. This industry rewards the ones who refuse to quit and keep their eyes on the bigger mission.

Question 5

What do you want your legacy to be as it relates to the cannabis industry?

I want my legacy in the cannabis industry to be about persistence and the unwavering commitment to educating people on the true power of the plant. Not just its incredible medical properties, but also its potential in industrial hemp to revolutionize fiber, grain, and regenerative agriculture. We have in our hands a plant that can heal, house, feed, clothe, and sustain us in ways most people can’t even imagine. My goal is to be part of the movement that shows the world cannabis isn’t just a product—it’s a solution that can change the way we live and care for our planet!
