CHICAGO, Nov. 24, 2025 – PharmaCann Inc., one of the nation’s largest privately held, vertically integrated cannabis companies, today announced a nationwide holiday donation drive in partnership with Mission Green, Freedom Grow, and Beard Bros Pharms. The initiative will collect essential re-entry items for individuals convicted of cannabis-related offenses who are returning home from incarceration.
Across the country, people continue to serve time or face lifelong barriers, for cannabis convictions that would not carry the same penalties today. For those coming home, re-entry often starts with immediate, practical needs: personal care basics, clothing, transportation, and the ability to re-establish daily stability. This holiday drive is designed to meet those needs directly, with community-supported essentials delivered through trusted prisoner-support and re-entry networks.
PharmaCann has raised over $429,000 over the last two years for Mission Green through the company’s Round Up for Charity program.
How the Donation Drive Works
The donation drive begins Tuesday, Nov. 25, at PharmaCann’s 51 Verilife and LivWell dispensaries across Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Colorado. Participating locations will accept:
- Personal hygiene essentials such as toiletry kits, shampoo, razors, toothbrushes, deodorant, lotion, and soap
- Gift cards including Visa, Amazon, and Target, which allow recipients to purchase clothing, transportation, phone minutes, and other re-entry basics
All donated items and gift cards will be distributed through Mission Green and Freedom Grow’s established re-entry and prisoner-support networks, ensuring supplies land directly in the hands of people who need them most.
Why This Matters
Even as legal cannabis expands, the damage from prohibition hasn’t disappeared. Re-entry support is not a symbolic gesture — it’s harm repair. This campaign:
- Provides immediate, practical resources for people coming home
- Reinforces the industry’s responsibility to support communities most harmed by cannabis criminalization
- Builds public awareness around the ongoing reality of cannabis incarceration
PharmaCann has supported Mission Green through its Round Up for Charity program, which enables customers to round up their purchase totals to fund social justice and re-entry initiatives.
