Cannabis and Hospitality Unite: The Launch of Cirrus Social Club in Denver’s Bluebird District

In a groundbreaking move for the cannabis and hospitality sectors, Aaron Richard, known for his success with WeedTube, is set to open Cirrus Social Club, an exclusive cannabis consumption lounge in Denver, Colorado. Announced on a recent episode of Travel Tuesday, part of the Beard Bros Media Network, this venue aims to elevate the cannabis experience by combining luxury, education, and social connection. Host Brian Applegarth, creator of The Cannabis Trail, welcomed Richard, who shared insights into his innovative new venture that targets both novice and seasoned cannabis consumers.

Located in Denver’s revitalized Bluebird District, Cirrus Social Club occupies an 8,600-square-foot building with a stunning 40-foot vaulted dome ceiling. “The location and real estate played a crucial role in guiding the vision for Cirrus,” Richard noted, describing how the impressive architecture inspired the creation of a “destination within a destination.” Set between the bustling City Park and Cherry Creek areas, Cirrus is surrounded by a revitalized entertainment corridor with historic hotels, newly opened restaurants, and lively nightlife—a perfect setting for the city’s first-of-its-kind cannabis lounge.

Richard’s journey from digital to physical spaces reflects his dedication to the cannabis community and his intent to shift public perception about cannabis culture. After launching WeedTube in 2019, Richard became a key player in cannabis-focused digital media, and Cirrus Social Club marks his evolution into hospitality. The club, which has secured $2.3 million in funding, will cater to a diverse clientele seeking a refined, socially responsible, and safe cannabis experience.

The Cirrus concept places a strong emphasis on safety and inclusivity. By prioritizing “low and slow” THC consumption, the club aims to welcome individuals new to cannabis while providing curated, high-quality options for experienced users. Flight attendants (Cirrus’ version of servers) will guide patrons through their experience based on personalized tolerance levels, and consumption will be primarily through sophisticated tools like volcano bags rather than traditional smoking methods.

Non-inhalation options, such as infused mocktails, will also be available to offer a diverse experience that aligns with Colorado’s progressive cannabis regulations. With a mix of private event spaces, such as the luxurious Rose Room, Cirrus is poised to become a hotspot for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, and more.

Aaron Richard’s vision for Cirrus is to redefine cannabis hospitality and establish Denver as a pioneering city in the cannabis tourism economy. As Richard puts it, “This isn’t just about cannabis; it’s about creating a welcoming, upscale environment where people can gather, enjoy, and appreciate the culture in an entirely new way.”

With a planned opening in January, Cirrus Social Club represents the next frontier for cannabis tourism, promising a refined yet approachable experience that balances elegance, safety, and a passion for cannabis culture.
